One is former DC Police Officer Mike Fanone who has beseeched us to write our Senators to beg you not to confirm Ed Martin. I know you have much influence in the Senate and I hope you can get your non-MAGA colleagues to vote against this ludicrous nomination. Please do this for us. Please do this for Mike Fanone and his colleagues who have given so much to defend our nation.

Hmm, maybe I should write to my two loathsome Rabid Red (I love this phrase) Senators, instead of calling their offices. It usually goes to VM, or the assistant who answers reads some pre-fab bullshit and hangs up as soon as possible.They suck.
I’d give it a try since I agree the phone answering gives me no confidence at all that they are even listening or recording. Other Republicans, Tillis I think, are not happy with this nominaton either. Of course, Tillis is not someone I look to for integrity.

Michael, I will be calling Senators Fetterman and McCormick's office tonight and leaving voicemail messages, and tomorrow morning I'll call their outreach offices and try to talk with a live person. I'm also going to restack your video.
As a European supporter, it stresses me the shit that I can’t do anything or call your representatives.
What I can do though, is to emphasize the real danger of this nomination and that you all should massively respond to the call of Michael Fanone. Because this is not only about him and the cowards who attacked him (literally but also afterwards, like that Nazi Martin). This is about all of you and the future of your country as a free democracy. It is very simple: What Trump and his Project 2025 Nazi white supremacists are doing, is to completely overhaul your legal system. The know damn well there will be resistance (even from SCOTUS), so they try to replace important positions by puppets.
This strategy is nothing less than the installation of a Volksgerichtshof (or the People’s Court) and a complete system around it that will circumvent all existing rule of law so they go after all resistance until there is no resistance left anymore.
Is this scary stuff? The hell it is. It should scare the shit out of you, but I also should fuel you with rage and energy, so you can take action: follow Fanone in his question to take action and call your representatives. Do it massively, don’t be quiet, speak up!! Before you will no longer have the power to speak up.
To Michael Fanone: I found the end of the video touching. I saw the reaction of a man who didn’t ask for all this shit but still finds the courage to speak up and to do what has to be done, amidst all the bad memories and the disgusting injustice they inflicted upon you and your colleagues. I wished I could give you a hug, but foremost I want to say: You have my utter respect, you are one of the few reasons I’m not completely misanthropic yet.
